BILK Kombiterminál eerste Hongaarse terminal bij InlandLinks

BILK (Budapest Intermodal Logistics Center) Kombiterminál is de eerste Hongaarse terminal in het InlandLinks netwerk. Dit omvat nu bijna 40 terminals in Nederland, België, Duitsland, Polen, Italië en Hongarije.

De 11 Contargo terminals in Duitsland en Zwitserland zijn nog niet officieel opgenomen omdat zij nog beoordeeld moeten worden

BILK is gelegen tegen de zuidoostelijke rand van Boedapest, tussen een regionale weg, een snelweg en een spoorweg. Het bestaat uit een spoorwegstation/rangeerterrein (10 ha.), de bimodale terminal voor gecombineerd verkeer (20 ha.) en een logistiek centrum (70 ha.). de terminal behandelt wissellaadbakken, semi-trailers en containers. De zeven 750 meter lange sporen worden bewerkt door twee brugkranen en vier ‘reachstackers’. De terminal kan jaarlijks 220.000 TEU behandelen.

InlandLinks (www.inlandlinks.eu) is het online platform voor containerterminals in het achterland met intermodale (rail en/of binnenvaart) dienstverlening van/naar Rotterdam. De deelnemende terminals worden gepresenteerd op basis van geobjectiveerde en vergelijkbare criteria. De criteria worden jaarlijks gecontroleerd om de juistheid te kunnen verzekeren. Inland Links stelt deelnemers in staat algemene opties en specifieke voordelen te identificeren van aan Rotterdam gerelateerd intermodaal transport. Het draagt tevens bij aan vergroting van het intermodaal vervoer per binnenvaart en trein van de zich in de komende 25 jaar verdrievoudigende containerstroom. InlandLinks is een initiatief van het Havenbedrijf Rotterdam en is twee jaar gestart in samenwerking met de Vereniging van Inland Terminal Operators (VITO).

Verdrievoudiging
Rotterdam verwacht de komende 25 jaar een verdrievoudiging van de containerstromen. Vanwege de groei van de wereldhandel, de gunstige geografische ligging en de toename van zeer grote containerschepen met een capaciteit van rond de 20.000 eenheden elk. Van de totale overslag van circa 30 miljoen TEU in 2035, wordt naar verwachting 12 miljoen TEU aan- en afgevoerd met kleinere schepen van – en naar Europese havens. Ongeveer 18 miljoen TEU komt en gaat via intermodaal transport van en naar het achterland. Voor deze stroom moet InlandLinks betere en meer duurzame verbindingen zichtbaar maken.

Qatar, August 15, 2023 – QTerminals Group (51% Qatar Ports Management Company Q.C.S.C (Mwani Qatar) and 49% Qatar Navigation Q.P.S.C (Milaha)) has acquired a majority stake in “Kramer Holding B.V.”, a provider of integrated logistics and container services located in the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

The acquisition of Kramer Group represents an important milestone in the expansion of QTerminals, as the Port of Rotterdam is the largest port in Europe and is a significant addition to QTerminals Group’s record of success in diversifying its operations. In addition, this acquisition further reinforces QTerminals Group’s commitment to contribute towards Qatar National Vision 2030 which aims for the diversification of the national economy and foreign investments.
